Position: Export Area Sales Manager – Construction Industry
Location: Knutsford, Cheshire
Salary: Negotiable Package Depending on Experience
Our client is a well known and respected company throughout the construction industry world wide, with an established reputation for high quality products, service and technical support. Established for over 30 years the company continues to invest heavily in research and development and as a result continue to expand its product range resulting in expanding sales potential and career development.
They now have a tremendous opportunity for a hardworking, committed individual to sell the company’s specialist coatings and structural protection systems into the Construction Industry in Europe (mainly Scandinavia).
The Role:
The successful candidate will operate from the companies head offices in Knutsford, Cheshire, but will be expected to spend a significant amount of time overseas. In return for an excellent remuneration package the successful candidate’s duties will include:
Promotion of the companies products & services to government departments, specifying engineers and architects in assigned European markets.
Increasing sales to existing customers and develop sales of new & existing products in new countries.
Identifying and managing agents and distributors of the companies materials.
Spending time in the territories developing relations with clients and customers.
Identifying and appointing applicators of the companies materials.
Negotiating orders with company applicators and main contractors.
Establishing and managing payments via documentary credits.
Preparing proposals, specifications and commercial strategies as may be required to achieve profitable sales to meet targets.
Identifying new customer needs and opportunities for the company in all areas of business.
Becoming established as a valuable and indispensable part of the team.
Our Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have experience in specification selling with a proven track record in sales preferably with a second European language.
Key attributes associated with this role include being gregarious with excellent people skills, confident and competitive. Candidates should also be tenacious with excellent presentation skills.
