Using modelling tools like SAS and SPSS, you ll determine the commercial viability of ideas proposed by our campaign managers, and in doing so, help them come up with better and more targeted ways to get our messages across. Creating models often from scratch is obviously key to this role. But just as important will be your ability to improve on the models we ve already got. Excel and statistical analysis skills come with the territory, but on top of that we re looking for the confidence to question what s best for the business plus a real flair for getting people round to your way of thinking. See Full Job Description Hide Full Job Description Overall Purpose of Position To lead and manage the development of modelling solutions to drive marketing & retention activity and customer communications. To deliver expert analysis and provide understanding and insight of our customer base to support marketing decision making and company strategy. Key Accountabilities Development of models to deliver best practice CRM, including: retention, revenue stimulation, derivations (value, loyalty & segmentation). Manangement of the 'Model Scorecard' and performance dashboard. Lead the process for implementation of intelligence solutions into technical systems and business processes. Effective communication of campaign reports and detailed post-campaign analysis to various stakeholders in the business. Deliver integrated insights amongst internal marketing customers through the application of analysis and modelling solutions. Developing and transforming data into information and insights that enable a better understanding of the customer and stronger marketing communications planning. To identify and deliver analytical projects to include customer profiling, behavioural analysis, segmentation and modelling that provide the tools to enable the successful implementation of marketing strategy. Analysis, customer strategy and target selection in a CRM environment to continuously improve the success of customer communications through test and control strategies, development of response models and the refinement of targeting models. To collaborate with BI (IS) to continuously improve data quality and structure to ensure that appropriate data is readily accessible for data modelling and analysis Education and Work Experience Commercially aware and experienced with clear evidence of ability to deliver insights that contribute towards the bottom line and ability to prepare what-if scenarios. Can lead data quality reviews and able to predict and understand the business issues leading from any specific quality problems. Possesses in depth knowledge of analytical techniques and able to use this to suggest innovative solutions. Provide recommendations on campaign planning and appropriate analysis. Has expert knowledge of SAS and other analytical tools. Able to anticipate the benefits obtained from various analytical techniques and take responsibility for all stages in the analytics process. Statistical analyst with experience in at least 3 of the following techniques: regression, logistical regression, decision trees 9CART and / or CHAID), neural networks, K-mean clustering. Is a widely acknowledged specialist with expertise in a range of analytical methods Ability to interpret complex data into information and effectively communicate recommendations, to a non-technical audience, from which effective decisions can be made. Challenges to ensure a good understanding of the project's business requirements and uses this to scope the work and guide estimates Proven data mining experience and understanding of application of the data to support CRM activities. Engagement with the business delivering a proactive consultant role Able to deliver multiple complex analytics projects with expert advice and guidance Able to assess business problems to design analytical solutions. Telecommunications or similar industry experience is preferred.
