Senior Civil Design Manager

A leading design consultant is looking to appoint Senior Civil Designer/Technical Manager to work on Water and Wastewater projects on the Scottish Water Framework in Glasgow. Requirements The successful applicant for this role will ideally be a Chartered Civil Engineer with appropriate project management experience. You should have a clear understanding of engineering design issues, good client-facing experience and experience of preparing contract documentation. Responsibilities The role will include responsibility for: - Project managing the design and construction of civil engineering projects including responsibility for client management and financial performance. - Responsibility for design and technical review of engineering input to projects - Acting as company representative with clients. Progressing new business by identifying and developing new clients - Preparing conceptual designs, costs, specifications and contract documents - Preparing bids for potential projects You will also be responsible for working with the rest of the design team in advancing the companys technical capability to the highest standard and approving designs. This will include identifying innovative approaches and techniques, presenting technical papers and training graduates. (Location: Glasgow, Lanarkshire, SCOTLAND)
